How is the price set?

There's one crown. Whoever holds it paid some amount X. To take it from them, you pay exactly 2ร—X. The very first challenger pays the starting bid shown on the homepage.

What do I get for paying?

The crown: your name/handle, link, and taunt shown on the homepage as long as you hold it, plus a permanent line in the doubling history. There is no cash prize, payout, or pot โ€” you're paying for the spot, not entering a lottery.

What happens if two people double at the same time?

Only one payment can be strictly higher than the current amount at the moment it's confirmed. If your payment clears a moment after someone else already doubled, you don't take the crown โ€” and your payment is not refunded. That risk is the whole point of "double or nothing."

Can I get a refund?

No. Every payment is final, whether you win the crown or get outraced. Don't pay more than you're comfortable losing.

Can I double my own bid?

Yes โ€” if no one has taken the crown from you yet, you can still pay to double your own amount, though there's no reason to.

What links/content are allowed?

Nothing illegal, no malware/phishing links, no harassment or hate content. We reserve the right to remove a champion entry that violates this without a refund.

Who processes payments?

Checkout and card processing are handled entirely by our payment provider (LemonSqueezy or Polar.sh), acting as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details.
